Version 3.0b
A small revision dedicated to improving the Cave PGM driver

improvements are:

-Coins now work properly for all games

-You can now record all games including DOJBL without nvram problems (you will need to
set the board to default in the setup menu (F2) before recording

-Backported the PGM video fixes (zooming and priority are now fixed)

-audio driver improvements

 


Starting with version 3.0, shmupmame will now be based on mameplus! 99

The main goal of this build is to remove the input delay caused by frame/sprite buffer
in emulated mame games, the result is that patched games have a faster response by at least
one frame. This makes the games behave more like what you would expect playing on real
hardware. The downside is that the background layer will not be synced in games that have
player controlled panning. The affected games will have a noticeable jitter on the sprites
fixed to the background layer, it is only visual and somewhat hard to detect depending on the
game.

With version 3.0, shmupmame now has various improvements that mame devs are not willing to
include in the mainstream build for various reason. Since version 3.0 is based on an older
build of mame(99), it also includes backports of various drivers improvements.


v3.0:
The Cave PGM games are backported to this version, one problem remains though, the coin slots
for the newer games are not working properly, I included nvram files with the affected games
set to freeplay, you can also insert coins using the Service 1 button which is "9" by default.

-Fixed Elevator Action Returns, shooting lights etc. now works properly
-Added Sagaia (UK) A version with remixed paths and stages
-Fixed the volume in Darius 2/Sagaia
-Fixed panning and volume in Gundhara
-Fixed the music volume in Smash T.V./Total Carnage/Striker Force
-Fixed the music volume for Psikyosh games
-Fixed the panning in Taito Z
-Reduced the Volume for many driver that had audio clipping (about 10 drivers)
