더·로드 오브 킹지금부터 아득한 옛날, 이 세상은 마귀들에게 지배되어 추악한 분쟁의 날들이 계속되고 있었다.
사람들은 무서워하고 전율해, 누구 혼자 싸우는 것 등 없었다.
그러나, 어느 날, 1명의 용기 있는 젊은이가 신보다 계시를 받아 이상한 도끼"파이야악스"를 하사할 수 있었다.
젊은이의 이름은 「로슈」. 사람들에게 용기를 주어 이 세상에 평화를 되찾기 (위해)때문에,
알 게라 인성의 「마왕 아르고스」를 넘어뜨려, 마귀들의 야망을 부서지고!

This game is known in Japan as "The Lord of King".
Mythology note : In Greek mythology, (means 'King of the city') was the son of Hector and Andromache. He was killed during the Trojan War by Neoptolemus, who threw the infant from a wall and told his mother 'Since my father (Achilles) killed his father (Hector) he might try to avenge the death. He also could become King of Troy and we want no more kings of Troy!'.
